A winter day sail.

I came home from a night shift at 0800 yesterday a bit weary but the weather was blue skies and a sailing breeze so had some breakfast and went for a sail.

Locked out with some friends in a larger yacht who were heading off to Weston for the day.Damo my friend from Portishead took these pictures of Banjo from Marks boat "Gemini Girl".Anchored off Penarth in the afternoon for lunch and an hours shut eye.Well worth the effort.

Hi
Very interesting reading about sailing in the Bay. I am taking my Hanse 350 to Penarth Marina in April for a change (from Torquay).
First questoin - what sort of anode do you use in the bay? I have read confusing advice about aluminium, magnesium etc.
Thanks

Hello Roy .Look forward to seeing you in the Channel when you arrive.

Im not much of an expert on anodes etc.I believe they recommend Magnesium but it depends on how much time you spend at sea.some people use anodes hanging over the side on a wire so they can switch from one to the other.

I would recommend having a chat here for a wealth of experience in the Bristol Channel.http://www.ybw.com/forums/postlist.php/Cat/0/Board/bcf
